Sessions: Virtual engineering
An in-depth
look at the growing trend to develop cars using
virtual engineering. At a time when the competitive
environment requires continuous cost reductions,
virtual engineering is a key component of such
a strategy. Using computerized modeling techniques,
automakers no longer need expensive real prototypes
of car models and components. That saves money,
reduces time to market and improves quality.
Automaker, supplier and specialized virtual
engineering company executives discuss what
is happening in this area and where the trend
is leading.
